VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH
UNITED WAY OF ROME
Community Investment Team
Volunteering for the Community Investment Team allows a person to see how the United Way funding decision process works. The people on the investment teams really are responsible for what human services programs are available for those in need in the greater Rome Area. Volunteers help decide what programs will share the proceeds from the current campaign. Groups of 4-6 team members are assigned to review agency's requests for funding. Volunteers ask challenging questions as they are related to the program and how best this program benefits the community.
Board of Directors
Volunteer members of the Board represent the community of Rome and Western Oneida County. They define and implement the mission, vision and values of the United Way, based on their understanding of the assets, needs and goals of Rome & Western Oneida County and its residents.
